Policy & Disclaimer
Last Updated: June 25, 2025
This is a personal blog written and edited by me. All content, including photos, recipes, and thoughts, reflect my own experiences and opinions. I do not claim to be an expert in nutrition, food safety, or baking science. I simply love to bake and share the joy of it with others. Any information shared is for educational and informational purposes only, and not intended to replace professional advice or recommendations.
Micro Bakery under Illinois Cottage Food Law
I operate a small home-based bakery under the Illinois Cottage Food Law. All baked goods are prepared in a private residence that is not subject to routine health inspection. While I follow best practices for cleanliness and food safety, products are produced in a home kitchen that may process common allergens including wheat, dairy, eggs, nuts, and soy.
By placing an order or consuming items from my bakery, you acknowledge and accept this disclosure.
Products are:
- Made to order in limited quantities
- Only available for pre-order porch pickup on select dates
- Not intended for resale
- Clearly labeled with ingredients and allergen information to the best of my ability
If you have food allergies or medical dietary restrictions, please use caution and consult with your doctor before consuming any homemade items.
Endorsements & Affiliates
From time to time, I may mention or link to products or services that I personally use and love. If I ever participate in affiliate programs or receive compensation, I will disclose that clearly and honestly. I will only ever endorse products or companies that I believe align with the values and quality my readers expect.
Copyright & Fair Use
This blog may contain copyrighted material not authorized for use by the original copyright holder. In such cases, the material is shared under the Fair Use doctrine (Section 107 of the Copyright Act of 1976), for purposes such as teaching, commentary, research, and education. If you are the copyright owner and believe your work is being used improperly, please contact me directly and I’ll be happy to address it.
A Note About the Writing
Everything you read here begins with me—my kitchen, my home, and the life I’m learning to live with intention. As of March 2025, I’ve begun using a writing assistant (hello, ChatGPT!) to help polish my thoughts and shape the blog. Think of it like having a trusted editor on standby. Every story, recipe, and post is still very much mine—the heart, the flavor, and the hospitality have never changed.
Thank you for being here and for supporting this sweet little adventure.
