Micro Bakery & Illinois Cottage Food Law

I operate a small, home-based micro bakery in accordance with the Illinois Cottage Food Law. All baked goods are prepared in a private residence that is not subject to routine health inspection.

While I follow best practices for cleanliness and food safety, products are made in a home kitchen that may process common allergens, including wheat, dairy, eggs, nuts, and soy.

By placing an order or consuming items from my bakery, you acknowledge and accept this disclosure.

If you have food allergies, sensitivities, or medical dietary restrictions, please use caution and consult with your healthcare provider before consuming homemade items.


Classes & Educational Content

From time to time, I offer classes related to baking, sourdough, and home kitchen skills. These classes are intended for educational purposes only.

Participation is voluntary, and attendees are responsible for their own safety, food handling, and application of techniques learned during class.

A Note About the Writing

Everything you read here begins with me—my kitchen, my home, and the life I’m learning to live with intention.

As of March 2025, I’ve begun using a writing assistant (hello, ChatGPT!) to help refine language and organize ideas. Think of it as having a trusted editor nearby. Every post, recipe, class, and reflection still originates with me—the heart, voice, and hospitality remain unchanged.
